Hacker

ecently a hacker (pictured right) attacked our site causing the forums to be down for 24 hours. Due to the arrangement of the data all posts and topics were unaffected and user details remained safe and private.

t this stage I don't know who it was that attacked the site, however a reinstall of the forums has ensured that we now have the most up to date and secure software running.

y apologies for the prolonged downtime while I fixed the problem, and hopefully we won't have such troubles again.

Graduation

he school year is drawing to an end, with December 31 2007 the official end date for this Hogwarts year. The requirement to graduate is that your character has attended 15 classes throughout the year. For those who haven't been present for the entire year (ie the past 6 months) you are required to have attended an average of 2.5 classes a month. Unfortunately members who joined after December 9 won't be eligible to graduate.

etails of the graduation will be announced shortly, however it is planned that you will need to post your charater's name in a graduation thread to have your account checked for eligibilty before you are advanced a year. Now is a good time to check your attendance (see this page and the board rules), and if you feel that your attendance hasn't been recorded submit a support ticket with your account name, and the class you attended that wasn't recorded.

f anyone wants to check now that they are eligible to graduate, send me a message and I will let you know if you're on track to pass the year.

lowly but surely HPHavenRPG is making its way up the Google search list! If you do a Google search of "harry potter rpg" you'll find us listed at position 6! To help us continue the climb, make sure you vote for HPHavenRPG at the topsite lists linked at the bottom of the forums when you visit.

Halloween

hank you to Elle Stover and the other members involved in organising the Halloween Feast. The event will commence on December 9. Having seen the plans for the event, it promises to be a lot of fun!

New Homepage

ith the end of the school year fast approaching, I'm excited to announce that designs for a new HPHavenRPG homepage are almost complete! The new page will feature information such as RPG date, weather, moon status and news, with a link to enter the actual role-playing forums. The new homepage should make it easier to keep up with what's going on at HPH and allow for a more accurate progression of time. I look forward to sharing the new page with you in the new year!
